The Giant of January

Welcome to the first post of No Matter The Giant! As this new year rolls into town, I thought it would be good to cover some of the major roadblocks (or giants, if you will) in our lives. Our ultimate goal in life is to be happy with God in Heaven, but most times, there are giants there to try to prevent us from achieving this goal. So without further a due, welcome to the new blog No Matter The Giant!

Now, every month, my friend Aslan and I will cover one of these giants. Like for this month, we will cover over fear. Each week, Aslan and I will alternate writing on each topic. For January of 2019, we are going to talk about fear.

Fear. Let's admit it, it's something we all struggle with. We can be afraid of practically anything. Wikipedia has a nice long list of phobias. I will admit, something of them are extremely silly and maybe not even real, like anatidaephobia, the fear that a duck, somewhere, is watching you. Now if you are someone who is afraid that a duck is stalking you, it's okay. No one here on this blog is going to judge you for that. But my point is, there are a lot of fears.

Now, most of that list may be a fear of some physical thing in our life. But some of us struggle with a fear of a more mental thing. Maybe we're afraid of failing, maybe we're afraid of offending someone, maybe we're just straight up afraid of some personal disaster that we can't find words for.

So this month, we'll be covering the topic of fear and what can be done about it. So until next Saturday, have a great week and God bless!
