Fight Fear with the Right Sword

The month of January is almost gone, and there is just one major question left to be answered. How does one fight this fear? Do we just take a deep breath and plunge into the thing which we fear most? Or do we just let this fear come in and overtake our life, not letting us enjoy the world God created for us? Neither of these are the right answer. We can't let fear control our lives, just like we can't let hardships control us. But there has to be an anecdote to the issue at hand. But what is it?

The answer is very simple.

God is ultimately bigger than any fear the world can contain. Because He is almighty, all loving, and sees all things, God can do anything to help us with the fears we have. So, we pray. We ask God to help us overcome our fears, both physical and physiological fears. He alone can help us overcome fears of the dark, of people, of failure, of loosing people, etc. But we have to ask. It may take time, because God's timing may be different than ours. He may answer your prayer in ways you may not be expecting, but He will help you.
So, in the final week of January, I want you to pray and ask God to assist you. Place your trust in Jesus's hands so that you may be free from all fear.

Aslan's note: There are several Bible verses that deal with fear. Some good ones are: Philipians 4:6-7, 1 John 4:18, Psalm 56:3, Joshua 1:9 and Isaiah 41:10
